These delicacies have been crafted by Chef after getting acquainted with the culture and cuisine of the region during his stay at Shiv Niwas Palace under the expert guidance of the Chefs of the palace. Explore the rich and flavorsome cuisine at Renaissance Mumbai Conventon Centre Hotel from July 18th to 31st from 7 pm onwards.
Let your taste buds tickle with the special menu which is inspired by the Mewari cuisine. Indulge in robust starters like Shikaar Maas Ka Soola (Charcoal grilled lamb, garlic, red chilies, cloves smoked) and Ker Sanger Wadi, Sekma (Pan-fried Wild desert beans and berries patty, fenugreek). The authentic maincourse consists of dishes like Khad kokada (Typically a battle mode of cooking game by digging a "khad" or pit in the earth and using mellow flames to roast. Wrapped in khakra leaves slow cooked country fowl, garlic, green onion, green chilies, black cardamom, mace), Soweta Degchi Maas (Braised lamb and corn kernels kedgeree, cloves, cinnamon, mint, coriander, green chilies, buttermilk), Khada Desi Palak ( Stir fried baby spinach leaves, whole garlic, cumin, red chilies, the royal's kitchens specialty), Panchkuta (A must feature in desert food fare, pickling-spices tempered, local harvests beans, berries, seeds and fruits) and Sekma Baati (Charcoal baked, semolina-wheat flour bread). To die for desserts like Mawa Kachori (Wheat flour pastry, "khoya", milk cake, pistachio, almond, saffron-cardamom honey) and Paniya Churio (Crushed maize bread, jaggery, hot clarified butter, a great digestive as believed by the locals) will melt in your mouth.
