Winter Bliss
Aer @ Four Seasons
Rating 3 / 5
As I write this review, delightfully in the second week of december, it can't get better than this. Winter, and by that I literally mean December through February is a delightful time to be here. There is a cover charge of Rs 1500 per head - but hey, that is two drinks or so upstairs. It fills up on the weekend, and the DJ does belt them out quite loud - hard to chat at the bar, loud. Half the bar is smoking, half non smoking - but its all open to the sky 30-something stories up!

The cocktails are what you want them to be. At the bar of the Four Seasons, I expect no less, but there weren't any that blew me away. So to make most of the elegant evening, we ordered Champagne. Sigh. It is the perfect place for a bottle of Moet. What did hit the spot were the bar snacks. The pita came nice and warm to the table and the satay were too. I cannot stress enough the importance of food coming to my table piping hot!

Now the reality check. This is Mumbai - what do they do in the monsoon. And when I was here in October, it was so balmy that I switched from wine to water for fear of dehydrating and looking like a prune. Which brings me to the new thing they have started: Sundowners. In the heat, starting to drink at 5.30(!) Is not going to be easy. So I reiterate, Winters are lovely at Aer - ands it is 5.30 somewhere in the world, right about now.
