Garnishing drinks need not be exclusive to restaurants and fancy bars, says Dipti Mongia. You can get just as impressive at your own bar.
  • Match the flowers in your hair to the flowers on your cocktail.
  • Don't throw away these gorgeous fruits. Recycle and convert them into exotic drink holders.
  • If you are serving brightly coloured drinks, contrast the colour of your garnish and remember, it does not have to be one of the ingredients.
  • The next time you are having an evening of 'cocktails' remember to dress up the bar with an adorned menu card.
  • Don't leave the non alcoholic drinkers out of the fun. Present their juices in style.
  • We've used vegetables, fruits and flowers to dress up the drinks. We cannot leave the rind out. Make fun shapes out of them and add them to your glass.
